Why You’re a Chamber Member
What YOU Said to Us
The Chamber staff and Board of Directors thank you for the overwhelming response to our recent survey! This was especially useful as we entered our strategic planning retreat earlier this month.
A key question in the survey asked you to indicate the top three reasons that you’re a Chamber member. Here’s what you said:
Networking options 83%
Marketing & visibility 79%
Committee involvement 18%
Health insurance 9%
[As an aside, did you know that the chamber of commerce organizations are the oldest formal “networking” group in the U.S.?]
You also added write-in’s – other reasons that weren’t on our list. Some of those: helping other businesses, supporting my community, to support Sheridan, to be part of the business community, to stay abreast of community and business affairs … and “because it’s the thing to do!”
Clearly, you want to be part of something bigger than your own business or organization, part of a growing prosperity and sense of community in Sheridan County.
There are now 535 members in the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce! We thank you all for your support and your involvement.
