Stay Connected through Chamber Online

The Sheridan County Chamber membership is comprised of over 540 member businesses, organizations and individuals, all investing and working together for the betterment of Sheridan County! And those members represent thousands of employees, who make it happen every day in our community. This is quite a significant “coalition”, and the Chamber is proud to provide the resources and organizational structure for our business community, under which many group efforts can come together and be supported.
But this also brings the challenge of keeping all of us connected. One way we do that is through our Chamber Online weekly e-newsletter. Each month we highlight a member in our Featured Member section of Chamber Online, which is one way to honor a long-standing Chamber member who has made valuable contributions to our community. So far this year our Featured Members have included Albertsons, ERA Carroll Realty, Mullinax Concrete, and Hammer Chevrolet.
We announce important business networking opportunities – like the Chamber’s monthly luncheons, Business After Hours gatherings, and Chamber Coffee events. We also inform of valuable training opportunities – like our May 3 Human Resources training that every employer and manager should attend on the want-to’s, should-do’s, and have-to’s of HR (call us today to register). And, last week we announced the upcoming Sheridan Economic Indicator meeting on May 15, with a key speaker and local panel addressing Sheridan’s economic outlook.
In recent weeks, we’ve also announced in Chamber Online the opening of vendor registrations for this summer’s 3rd Thursday Street Festivals, as well as the 2012 Christmas Stroll button design contest deadline. And we informed members of the opportunity to feature their business on our 2012 city/county map. We’ll be announcing the schedule for this summer’s Sheridan Trolley route shortly.
Then there’s the announcement about our new Chamber website, the new Chamber mobile app, and the new My Hometown Deals tool offering the opportunity to market your local business in real time to the local consumer.
We’ll be sharing our new “Largest Employers in Sheridan County” list in a week or two via Chamber Online. (Want to guess who’s #1, #2, and #3, in terms of number of employees?) And we tell you how many Chamber Bucks were issued each month – gift certificates that are then spent at Chamber member businesses, keeping more dollars right here in Sheridan County.
A relatively new Chamber Online feature is the City/County Corner – a timely article from either City Hall or the County Commissioners. A few weeks ago it was an announcement about the major Wyoming County Commissioners conference coming to Sheridan, and last week we heard from the City Clerk with an important reminder of the city liquor licensing requirements.
And we have even more Business Resource items – made available to Chamber members through Chamber Online. I encourage you to sign up for Chamber membership today and start receiving your Chamber Online – to help you stay connected, stay informed, and stay successful.
