Big Step in the Future of Wyoming’s Technology Economy
According to today’s Wyoming Business Report, a rural Internet infrastructure test earlier this month by Sheridan’s Advanced Communications Technology (ACT) and partners Silver Star Communications and Cisco Systems is a “landmark” event that could drive Wyoming’s technology economy.
The telecommunications partners successfully carried out the Rocky Mountain region’s first trial of a 100 gigabit per second optical connection in a 420-mile demonstration through rural Wyoming, from Jackson to Sheridan – proving that it could be as fast as most metropolitan counterparts.
