John W. Patton Scholarship Fund

By: Richard Garber, chair of the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee

John W. PattonWith the passing of State Representative John Patton (Wyoming House District 29), the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee feels strongly that there should be a lasting legacy in his name.

Working with the Sheridan College Foundation, we have established the John W. Patton Endowed Scholarship at Sheridan College.

Rep. Patton was instrumental in forming the Government Affairs Committee. He also played a large part in the formation of the Legislative Forum hosted by the Chamber in order for all of us to understand who is running for office and how they stand on issues that affect our daily lives. It also allows us as voters to ask questions about how the elected officials stand on issues that affect us.

John was a true Wyoming statesman and advocate for our political process and education. It is our intent that this scholarship will aid young people and encourage them to become more involved in our political process.
If you’d like to contribute toward this scholarship fund, click here for the gift form to include with your gift.
