Kickin’ Off Rodeo Week
Boot Kick-Off – Next Tuesday
Tuesday, July 7
at Kendrick Park
Join the Chamber Ambassadors and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board for the official Boot Kick-Off for Rodeo Week, sponsored again by M&M Mars … an afternoon filled with food, competition, and FUN for the whole family.
Here’s the line-up:
4:00 pm – Registration begins for the competitions (limited to 20 participants in each category). No cost to participate.
5:00 pm – Stick horse barrel racing for kids up thru age 8 (age categories: ages 4 & under, 5-6, 7-8) – stick horses will be provided, or feel free to bring your own. Prizes for the top 3 winners in each category.
Followed by the boot kick-off competition for ages 9 and over (ages 9-12, 13-17, men 18 & up, women 18 & up) – bring your own boot, or we’ll have some available for you to use. Prizes for the top 3 winners in each category.
Then the annual Ambassadors Challenge between the Sheridan County Chamber Ambassadors and the Buffalo Wild Bunch – a unique challenge designed especially for these fun folks, with each team’s goal being to walk away with the traveling trophy.
Boot Kick-Off sponsor, Mars, will be providing ice cream treats to attendees at the end of the event.

And if you’re still going strong after the Boot Kick-Off, here are two more event options waiting for you:
7:00 pm – Boot Kick-Off Street After-Party at Black Tooth Brewing Company, featuring the country music of Tris Munsick and The Innocents.
7:30 pm – Concert in the Park at Kendrick Park – the Joey Leone Band, country music from a group that is already “legendary in their own time” in their home state of Vermont.
