Big Horn Mountain Medicine is Sheridan Memorial Hospital’s Internal Medicine Clinic, uses the NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home model of primary care. This model combines teamwork and information technology to improve both patients care and experience while also reducing costs. Each patient’s care is overseen by clinician-led care teams that coordinate treatment across the Sheridan Memorial Hospital healthcare system.
With a solid base of internal medicine physicians and support staff, Big Horn Mountain Medicine provides the full spectrum, of health care to men and women age 16 and older. Care includes a personalized treatment plan, follow-up reminders, tips to help you stay healthy and answers to your health questions. All internists split their time between the outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital duties.

With very few exceptions, all types of surgery can be performed at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. This includes general inpatient and outpatient surgeries such as vascular, urology, obstetrics, gynecology, and total joint replacements.

Sheridan VA Medical Center
Another major health care provider in Sheridan County is the Sheridan VA Medical Center, which serves veterans across Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region. Located just off Interstate 90, the Sheridan VAMC has 208 beds and serves nearly 12,500 veterans each year. www.sheridan.va.gov
Sheridan Memorial Hospital is now utilizing telemedicine – information technology such as Web, TV and videoconferencing – to enhance health care services for people at distant sites. This allows doctors at Sheridan Memorial to instantly provide vital medical information to doctors who are helping patients in rural areas of Wyoming.
Sheridan boasts a large number of physicians, dentists, and other health care providers, covering almost all specialties. Sheridan also has three urgent care clinics for immediate short-term needs, as well as two ambulance services covering the entire county.
