Posting a Current Labor Law Poster
This is a “repeat” item, but worth repeating – if you, like the Chamber, receive periodic mailings asking you to purchase this poster.
You know those mailings you receive asking you to purchase an updated Federal and State Employment Law poster for your workplace? Ignore them. You can get the poster locally, and you don’t need to pay for it.
Most employers are required to have a current version of the Labor Law requirements posted in their workplace, in a prominent place that employees can easily see. These posters are available from federal and state employment/labor offices at no charge … and also do not change every year.
If you’re not sure if your existing poster for Wyoming is up to date, the most current Federal/Wyoming combined version says 2010 at the top and “Rev. Oct 2008” at the bottom.
If you don’t have a poster or if yours isn’t current, you can get the current Federal/Wyoming poster (no charge) at the Sheridan Workforce Center, 61 S. Gould St., (307) 672-9775. The poster size is approx 27″ x 39″.
