Downtown Development Authority

Last month Downtown Sheridan Association kicked off one of the newest projects in the continued improvements in our community – the creation of a business plan and campaign looking at the potential formation of our downtown area as a “downtown development authority.”

A Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a statutory agency that would give Sheridan more opportunities in funding economic development, especially in the ability to capture tax revenue for use in financing improvements. The study is starting with extensive market research and a comprehensive assessment of Downtown Sheridan.
