Lunch with Wyoming Governor Matt Mead
A SPECIAL THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN OUR CHAMBER LUNCHEON YESTERDAY!
During the program, Governor Mead shared some insights into the strategy, which includes four major themes: economic competitiveness, efficient and effective regulation, natural resource conservation, reclamation and mitigation, and education innovation and new technologies.
Governor Mead also stressed that energy is one of the defining issues for the state and that we have “a great need to get it right.” “Energy is our state’s largest source of revenue … by far.” And Wyoming exports more energy than any other state. We produce more energy than any other state except Texas. The Governor went on to say, “This is not just a selfish interest; we should feel proud of the fact that we supply energy to the rest of the country and beyond.”
The Sheridan County Chamber would also like to extend a very special THANK YOU to our host, First Federal Savings Bank, who generously covered the cost of everyone’s lunch.
