Update from Wyoming Chamber Partnership
The Wyoming Chamber Partnership (WCP), an organization of chambers of commerce in Wyoming and key partners, exists to further the professional growth of the chamber executives and be an advocate for strengthening Wyoming’s business environment.
The organization has just elected their leadership for the 2013-2014 year. The new board president will be Angela Jarvis, Executive Director of the Buffalo Chamber. Our own Dixie Johnson is the new vice president of the WCP board.
Angela plans to focus on three WCP initiatives for the coming year:
1 – Establishment of a state-wide Legislative Forum to better communicate the needs of Wyoming’s business community with Wyoming’s legislative delegation, on both a state and federal level.
2 – Continued development of a Wyoming Chamber Directory, offering online access to more than 10,000 Wyoming businesses (members of the local chambers of commerce, including YOUR business – more on this later).
3 – Continued promotion of the “Standing tall in an Upside Down World” ethical leadership workshop, which has already been offered in many Wyoming locations (and will be offered again in Sheridan in January).
