Christmas Stroll 2016
The theme ‘storybook’ elicits feelings of whimsy, fairy tales, our favorite children’s books, and classic Christmas stories, and hopefully will encourage lots of creativity.
With the new theme in mind, the Stroll Committee would also like to announce that it is now time for the contest to design this year’s Christmas Stroll Button.
The contest is open to all Sheridan County students in grades 1-6. Stroll Button Design entry forms are available at the elementary schools, the Chamber office (171 N. Main St.), or just print out a copy by clicking here.
The winning design will be chosen by the Stroll Committee, based upon how well it reflects the theme “Storybook Stroll.” The winning artist receives $100 in Chamber Bucks as well as a framed Stroll Button featuring their winning design. The deadline for submission of entries is Friday, June 3rd; entries can be mailed to the Chamber at P.O. Box 707, Sheridan, or dropped off at the Chamber office.
If you know a student in this age group, encourage them to submit a drawing. You never know who the next winning artist may be!
The 2016 Christmas Stroll event will be November 25th, the Friday after Thanksgiving.
