The Chamber Ambassadors welcomed new Chamber member, The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Wyoming, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at the Mandel Cabin, owned by the Colonial Dames, in Whitney Commons Park. The group was formed in 1913 as an organization devoted to fostering an interest in preserving manuscripts, relics and mementos of bygone days and to stimulate a spirit of true patriotism, a genuine love of country and to impress upon youth the sacred obligation of honoring the memory of heroic ancestors. Membership in the organization is by invitation only, and members must be lineal descendants of an ancestor who rendered significant service to the country during the colonial period before July 5, 1776.
