The Sheridan area has been deeply affected by COVID-19. We are a diverse community that supports each other. With overwhelming support from Sheridan area individuals, local foundations, and businesses, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation is providing a grant program for those who work in the Sheridan area and are struggling during this pandemic. The Sheridan Area Employee Relief Fund’s (SAERF) purpose is to provide gap funding for households to purchase necessities like food, gas, rent, utilities and other expenses during the COVID-19 crisis.
SAERF needs your help as we take this on together as a community that cares. Please go to the DONATE button above to make a donation to SAERF. A committee will award grants based on the following criteria:
- Must be a resident of Sheridan County
- Must have been or are currently employed by a Sheridan County business
- Must have experienced some sort of hardship due to COVID-19
- Special consideration will be given to employees with children under the age of 18 living at home
This emergency fund is for our workforce in the Sheridan area. Approved applicants are eligible for $500 and may apply every 30 days. We are working to increase awareness and financial support to grow the fund. For now, it doesn’t have an unlimited budget.
Sheridan area employees may apply for a grant on this page beginning Monday, April 6.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be recently employed by a business in Sheridan County. To make the funds last as long as possible, only one person per household is asked to apply.
Donations can be made via PayPal by clicking on the DONATE button above or checks made payable to the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, ATTN: SAERF may be mailed to P.O. Box 707, Sheridan, WY, 82801.
All donations are tax deductible and 100% of funds raised will go to employees in the Sheridan area.
Please call Dixie Johnson at (307) 672-2485 with any questions.
