At today’s Chamber Lunch Program, a NEW shared online Community Calendar was unveiled by Sheridan Media’s General Manager Bob Grammens and The Sheridan Press’ Publisher Bryce Jacobson.

The calendar is a shared partnership with Sheridan Media, The Sheridan Press, the Chamber and Sheridan County Travel & Tourism. Events posted to one organization’s calendar will also appear on each organization’s community calendar on their own individual websites.
“We are very excited to launch this new shared community calendar,” said Dixie Johnson, Chamber CEO. “The new modern platform allows members of the community to post events one time and have them shared across all four calendars. It also provides a one-stop shop for folks looking for upcoming events. We appreciate all of the work done by Sheridan Media and The Sheridan Press to spearhead this partnership.”
Individuals may submit events for the calendar via any of the participating organization’s sites. Those posting events will be asked to create an account for the calendar, and they will then be able to input information and images for the event. There is also the option to feature events for a fee. The feature option pulls the event to the top of the calendar through which it is posted (please note that the feature option does not crossover to the other calendars).
The calendar platform is the same one that The Sheridan Press has been using for a number of years so if you already have an account for their calendar, you will be able to continue using it.
